A new resolution for New Year is important. We have to make some decisions to encourage ourselves for whole year. I think if we follow the routine step by step then achieving some goals may be completed.
My new year’s resolution is to further improve my English and practice it as much as I possibly can. For me, I hope to pass GEPT, but how should I reach this goal? I came up with some solutions myself. First, I have to buy some English magazines or newspaper I also visit websites such as BBC China and BBC News regularly to read articles that interest me. Second, I begin to write down what I think and how I feel on my personal blog, in English, of course.
Learning English is like baking a piece of bread: to make the wish come true, one must endure all kinds of hardship in order to improve one and get to where one wants to be.

Personal computer and Notebook
The computer is the most influential invention of the twentieth century. With it, we find it rather convenient to complete our daily work. It really brings revolution of information exchange.
Computers have been evolved continuously. It’s easy to compare the size of super computer and recent notebook. Inventors not only turn the size into small but also enforce the hardware device. The personal computer has become an indispensable tool. The most important function of the computer is to store and retrieve the information we need. If we connect our personal computer to the telecommunication network, we can get the information on all subjects. Furthermore, a notebook computer, in particular, makes it easier for us to deal with any information without the limitation of space or time. With a notebook, we can use it to connect the internet everywhere, it’s convenient and portable, so it’s easy to bring with us.
Using a personal computer or a notebook depends on how often we use computer.
Now, we are students, I think we don’t need to use computer every time so personal computer may be more suitable for us. Notebook is surely suitable for commercial person or who have to work on computer all the time.

Never Take Health for Granted
Man is not born with good health. Good health can only be obtained through cultivation. If we want to be healthy, we should take regular exercise and eat properly. Exercise and nutrition are the two secrets of good health. Health is not by any means to be taken for granted. Not only should you make efforts to obtain good health but once in good health you should always watch out to stay healthy. It is advisable that you keep on exercising, watch what you eat, get enough rest, keep regular hours, and rid yourself of nervous tension. It is probably safe to say that good health goes only to those who think highly of it and who don't believe good health may just come and stay. Indeed, health is something to be pursued and hung on to. Never take health for granted, and you can always be healthy.

A dream
My dream is to travel around the world. First, I will have my language ability improved such as English, French and so on. In addition, I will find some information about different culture in different countries such as food, traveling, and history, etc. For now, I should make best use of the resources at school and plan to study abroad. I have a wish to go on a backpack trip with my family or with my friends in the near future, not only to relax myself but also to enrich my traveling experiences. Although the most important of all is that I should have enough money to go abroad, I believe it come true these years.
Taiwan
Taiwan is a beautiful place in Asia and Taiwan is always warm, the climate in Taiwan is usually cozy. Taiwan have six national parks-Mount Jade National Park, Taroko National Park, Kenting National Park, Chinmen National Park,
Yangmingshan National Park, Shel-PA National Park. You can go hiking or watch the sunrise in the national park. There are a lot of wild animals still living in the national park, when you take walk in the national park maybe you are sounds melody. There are many aborigines living there, the people are also amorous. At night, if you are hungry, you can go to night market, the foods it tastes yummy. Have you ever eaten Taiwan's food? Try some next time. Although Taiwan is tiny, it’s really nice. No wonder it can own the name FORMOSA. And don't forget this nice place!

Why do people attend college or university?
In Taiwan, most people attend college or university because they still think the record of formal schooling is very important for their future.
First, some people attend college or university because their parents want their children to have high educations and diplomas from high reputation school institutions.
Second, most companies want prospective employees with diplomas from prestigious schools and high educations to become them worker. I think this is the main reasons why most people have attended college or university.
Third, some people want to have more knowledge, follow their aptitude and hobby, and choose some suitable college or university for their study.
In conclusion, people generally think having higher graduate/graduate diploma will enhance their chance to find good jobs and companies that pay good salaries. But I still think the fact that people could gain more knowledge in colleges or universities is really more important.

Cell phones
Technologies have become an important part of our daily life, and cell phone is one of the products.
Now a day, cell phone doesn't just being used as a phone that simple, but being used as an organizer, a browser, an entertainment device, and so on. It is portable, multi-tasking, adaptable, and one of the advantages is that you are able to use cell phone in any part of the world. Because the big improvement on technology, cell phone can also use as an emergency phone when one is lost in the woods or somewhere.
However, there are also some disadvantages from it. As people tend to use cell phone more often, doesn't matter where you are, in a car, in a classroom, in a meeting or so; classes and meeting was being disturbed, or people were too busy picking up the phone instead of concentrate on the road while driving.
